About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team at Starsky Fine Foods Inc. as a Retail Sales Associate. As a key member of our retail meat department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
    • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Meat Handling and Display
    • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Wrap and package prepared meats
    • Remove bones from meat
    • Weigh meats for sale
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Sell meats to customers
    • Price meat products
    • Slice cooked meats
    • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced retail environment
    • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail meat department
