Overview

Mccain Foods is embarking on a digital transformation journey, investing in data systems, structures, and policies to build digital products for customers, suppliers, and team members. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Product Owner to drive the development and implementation of digital solutions in our manufacturing facilities.

Purpose

The Product Owner will play a vital role in defining the future of Mccain Foods and driving the company's next digital transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's strategic projects and contribute to the development of innovative digital solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine overarching strategy for specific use cases, working closely with plant teams, Digital Leads, and the Director of Digital Manufacturing.
  • Identify end-user needs, scope, and iterate on specific use case development, leveraging technical input to develop and implement best-in-class solutions.
  • Build user-friendly tools and solutions that drive user adoption and engagement, understanding key user pain points and current day-to-day processes.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions in an efficient and timely manner, tracking progress and making trade-off decisions between content and timing.
  • Actively communicate progress and raise blockers to the program manager, with a solution-oriented mindset to continue driving the program forward.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in a dedicated domain, such as maintenance, continuous improvement, production, or manufacturing functions, with evidence of progressive roles.
  • Good business acumen, understanding how to drive value through the use of technology and data.
  • Experience managing complexity and ambiguity, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties.
  • Demonstrated skill in project management, with strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as food, engineering, business, computer science, or IT.
  • Master's Degree or Applied Certificate in business management, computer science, IT, or a related field.
