We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Layout Designer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality mechanical layouts and designs for our clients.
- Develop and maintain mechanical layouts and designs for various projects, including conceptual and detail drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Produce design deliverables, including design criteria, design drawings, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific design criteria, regulations, codes, and standards.
- Develop and maintain design drafting standards across projects.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure efficient delivery of designs.
- Support proposal managers in developing proposals and estimates.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration.
- Comply with Ausenco's quality assurance and occupational health, safety, and environment policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical layout and design drafting, preferably in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
- Experience with Autodesk products, including Autocad, AdvanceSteel, and Plant3D.
- Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment and interconnecting equipment and chutework.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel between locations.
