Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at the Ontario Convention Center. As a key member of our food service operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including culinary preparation, food presentation, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning routines and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including banquet, catering, and concession, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll administration, and staff training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Valid California Driver's License required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word software.
  • Experience with modern office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phone systems.
