Job Title: Change Over Laborer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at the Ontario Convention Center. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for setting up and taking down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in event set-ups and strikes, including setup and removal of chairs, tables, risers, stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture, and equipment.
  • Clean equipment as needed.
  • Make recommendations for improving facility operations.
  • Work safely at all times and report any accidents or incidents to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required: None

Desirable: Previous experience in a similar line of work

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift certificate

Working Conditions:

This position requires lifting at least 50lbs. without assistance for 40% of the workday; walking for long distances for more than 50% of the workday; sitting, bending, and stooping will be required; subject to adverse conditions; irregular hours will be required.
