Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the operation of machine gaming in our casino, ensuring a positive gaming experience for all guests. The successful candidate will be a front-line customer service liaison, answering questions and assisting with orientation of games and the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a front-line customer service liaison, answering questions and assisting with orientation of games and the facility.
  • Motivate, develop, and supervise Slot Attendants on the floor.
  • Participate in a professional, constructive, and supportive environment for all Casino staff, with a focus on open communication and teamwork.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to ensure guests have an enjoyable gaming experience.
  • Report issues to the Slot Shift Manager.
  • Sign jackpots and cancelled credits.
  • Clear bill and ticket jams and check game and voucher histories to maintain game integrity, answer questions, and solve disputes.
  • Actively seek out and address customer needs and machine problems.
  • Assist with awareness of and excitement for ongoing and upcoming Casino promotions.
  • Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies, and procedures, and report any violations and escalate to the appropriate level as necessary.
  • Acquire and maintain a strong knowledge of all Slot operations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
  • Manage other initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • 1 year Slot experience preferred, along with previous supervisory experience.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity, technical aptitude, and trouble-shooting ability is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset.

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, non-traditional work hours.
