About the Role

Vancouver Custom Homes Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a Carpenter Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our carpentry team in the construction of high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring timely delivery to the job site.
  • Site Preparation: Help prepare the construction site by clearing debris, leveling earth, and setting up scaffolding and other equipment.
  • Assisting Carpenters: Provide support to our experienced carpenters, assisting with tasks such as mixing and pouring concrete, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, tools, and machinery used on the construction site.
  • Health and Safety: Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Be available to work overtime as required, with a regular 40-hour workweek.
  • Language: Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with the team and clients.
