About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Parbh Homes Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the movement of materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Collaborate with experienced carpenters to set up and dismantle temporary structures and safety equipment.
  • Assist in Framing Houses, Erecting Walls, and Building Roofs: Support skilled carpenters in the construction of residential buildings, including framing, wall construction, and roofing.
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications: Assist in ensuring the site is level and meets the required specifications.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Participate in the safe and controlled demolition of buildings, removing rubble and debris as needed.
  • Remove Rubble and Other Debris at Construction Sites: Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment by removing debris and waste.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will work outdoors, at heights, and in dusty conditions.
  • Work Setting: The role will involve working at various locations, including construction sites.
  • Tasks: The Carpenter Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including those listed above.
  • Construction Specialization: The role will focus on residential construction.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with physically demanding tasks, repetitive actions, and handling of heavy loads.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. The role is permanent, with a 40-hour workweek, and English is the primary language of communication.
