As a Business Development Leader with Sun Life Financial, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and success within our organization. Your primary objective will be to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of advisors to achieve business targets and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coaching for Growth: Recruit top talent, coach, and develop advisors and the district team to improve business results and the overall client experience.
  • Client Centricity: Foster strong relationships with clients, leveraging your expertise in insurance and wealth products to meet their unique needs.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop and execute annual holistic business plans, focusing on sales growth, financial results, productivity, client engagement, and governance metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing team of Business Development Partners and Business Development Consultants.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations, direction, and management of assigned Financial Centre(s) (FC), ensuring alignment with business plans and strategic objectives.

Requirements:
  • Business Acumen: Possess deep product knowledge (insurance and wealth products) and an understanding of the market, competition, and industry in general.
  • Sales and Business Development Skills: Demonstrate strong sales and business development skills, with a proven track record of success.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Have expert knowledge of all required regulatory, oversight, and compliance requirements.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess sound coaching and performance management skills, as well as business planning skills.
  • Licenses: Must hold a valid life insurance agent's license in the provinces in which Financial Centres are located and a valid mutual fund license.
