Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Litigation team, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers and contribute to the success of our practice.
Responsibilities:- Drafting, editing, and proofreading routine correspondence, letters, and other related documents.
- Maintaining and organizing client contacts, file opening, and closing.
- Prioritizing workflow to ensure completion of accurate work within established timelines.
- Managing administrative tasks, including time entry, billings, calendar management, and coordinating meetings logistics.
- Transcribing digital voicemail and maintaining files and diarization on a daily basis.
- Working closely with the Paraprofessional team.
- Preparing cheque requisitions, wire transfers, trust deposits, and expense reports.
- Updating and maintaining client/matter lists.
- Legal Assistant diploma from an accredited college plus a minimum of five (5) years of previous legal assistant experience in related practice areas.
- Civil and/or Commercial Litigation experience.
- Superb accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Advanced computer skills; proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with digital filing, document management, and dictation software.
- Responsible, dependable, and consistent.
- Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct.
- Able to work with minimal instruction and prioritize the workload accordingly.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter who is able to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure both independently and in a team setting.
