We are seeking an experienced commercial litigation lawyer to join our dynamic Litigation Group. This team provides comprehensive legal services to individuals, owner-managed businesses, and large institutions in areas such as commercial and construction litigation, insurance & risk management, employment law, administrative law, shareholders disputes, and general litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: shareholder disputes, employment matters, commercial lease disputes, construction claims, or builders' liens.

The successful candidate will possess 3-5 years of post-call experience, with a proven track record of independently managing files and clients, as well as experience in Court or arbitration proceedings. They will demonstrate exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills, and be highly motivated, reliable, and client-centric. Additionally, they will thrive in a team environment and be committed to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation in commercial litigation matters
  • Manage files and clients independently, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and client contacts
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in commercial litigation

Requirements

  • JD or LLB degree from a recognized institution
  • Admitted to the Alberta Bar
  • 3-5 years of post-call experience in commercial litigation
  • Strong litigation skills and experience in Court or arbitration proceedings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
