About the Role

Gowan Agro Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Representative to cover the North Saskatchewan Territory. As the face and reputation of Gowan Canada in Saskatchewan, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations, you will be responsible for executing technical trainings of the Gowan portfolio to retailers, growers, agronomists, and centers of influence.
  • Managing the P&L of the sales region, establishing and meeting sales objectives.
  • Aligning Gowan Canada's portfolio with current customer needs.
  • Listening deeply and reacting accordingly to the ever-changing environment.
  • Growth in the region will be important, but building and maintaining our presence as an organization deeply committed to the science of agriculture will take precedence.
Requirements
  • Agriculture-related degree with 5 or more years of sales experience in the crop protection industry in Western Canada.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be utilized with retail partners, growers, industry personnel, and internal colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.
  • Experience with all types of communication platforms, CRM tools, and MS office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in translating detailed scientific information into practical decision-ready information for non-technical clients.
  • Experience in the Western Canadian crop protection marketplace is required, central northern Saskatchewan is ideal.
  • Travel throughout the territory is required, 50% to 80% depending on time of year.
  • A self-starter, entrepreneurial type, able to take initiative and conduct yourself in a professional manner with little direct supervision.
  • A strong team player and thrive in the role of being the lead technical expert supporting the sales needs in your assigned region.
  • Hold a driver's license in good standing.
