About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Kler Drywall Ltd. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound to drywall surfaces
  • Sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install drywall panels
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy environments
  • Ability to relocate for work
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in drywall finishing and installation
  • Knowledge of drywall materials and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and reliability
