About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Wall Expert Drywall Ltd. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound to drywall surfaces
  • Sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install drywall panels to create smooth surfaces
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in dusty environments
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper at Wall Expert Drywall Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty environments, and in noisy conditions.
