About the Job

BDS Drywall Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound to drywall surfaces
  • Sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install drywall panels
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions
  • Ability to work in noisy environments
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Willing to relocate
