About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Diamond Drywall Co ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our drywall projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Drywall Installation: Install drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to ensure a precise fit.
  • Finishing Touches: Apply successive coats of compound, sand seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Task Management: Prioritize and manage tasks to meet project deadlines, working efficiently to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other crew members to achieve project goals, communicating effectively to ensure a smooth workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset, with a strong understanding of drywall installation and finishing techniques.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate, with relocation costs covered by employer.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role, requiring the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude are essential for success in this role.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
