About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Waterford Executive. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion in the machine tool industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Foster Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Promote Machine Tool Sales: Utilize your technical sales expertise to promote our machine tool products and provide innovative solutions to customer work requirements.
  • Confer with Product Managers: Collaborate with product managers to assess equipment needs and develop strategic plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and Present Proposals: Create and present proposals to customers, outlining solutions to meet their specific needs and requirements.
  • Recommend Improved Materials or Machinery: Provide expert advice to customers on improved materials or machinery that can enhance their operations and productivity.
  • Visit Customer Facilities: Regularly visit customer facilities to review outstanding engineering or service-related concerns and provide technical support.
  • Strategic Review of Sales Opportunities: Conduct regular strategic reviews of sales opportunities to identify new business potential and develop plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Attend Trade Shows: Represent Waterford Executive at national and international trade shows to promote our products and services.
  • Liaise with Different Departments: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering and customer service, to ensure seamless customer interactions and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Develop Strategic and Tactical Plans: Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve yearly sales targets and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Recent Experience in Machine Tool Environments: Proven experience working in machine tool environments, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • 5+ Years of B2B Relevant Sales Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a track record of success in driving sales growth and revenue expansion.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel, with a significant amount of time spent on the road or with customers. You will also spend time in manufacturing environments, including assembly, machining, and quality control facilities. International travel may be required for training or trade shows.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as periodic repetitive movements and occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching. You will also be required to push, pull, and lift objects.
