Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney to join our team at SGS. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the General Counsel and senior business leaders in all aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, minority investments, and other business transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct due diligence, draft, and review legal documents related to mergers and acquisitions
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including outside counsel
* Manage the transaction process, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Provide general counseling to senior management on acquisition and business strategies
* Participate in special projects and contribute to the development of the company's business goals
Requirements
* Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
* 5-7 years' experience as a practicing M&A attorney, preferably with both private practice and in-house experience in the US and Canada
* Member of the New Jersey State Bar or eligible for the NJ in-house counsel license
