Job Title: Salumi & Formaggi Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salumi & Formaggi Lead to join our team at Eataly Sherway Gardens. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of Italian cheeses and cured meats in our department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train a team of sales associates to achieve sales and efficiency goals
  • Manage stock levels and make informed decisions about stock control, including ordering and inventory management
  • Communicate effectively with our main production kitchen and restaurants to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure the department consistently meets quality, health, and safety standards
  • Identify and report technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate department
  • Analyze financial data to improve efficiency and profitability of the department
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including assisting guests with cheese selection and sharing knowledge of products
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of retail supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian cheeses and salumi
  • Excellent communication, time management, and relationship-building skills
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 1+ year of food production experience highly preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
