We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salumi & Formaggi Lead to join our team at Eataly North America. As a key member of our Italian Specialty Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction in our cheese and cured meat department.
Key Responsibilities- Department Management
- Supervise and train a team of sales associates to achieve sales and efficiency goals
- Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control, including ordering and inventory management
- Communicate with our main production kitchen and restaurants to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Quality Control and Assurance
- Ensure that our department consistently meets quality, health, and safety standards
- Communicate any technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate department
- Customer Service and Sales
- Assist guests with cheese selection and share knowledge of products
- Weigh, label, and package products, and complete food preparation in a timely manner
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze financial data to improve efficiency and profitability of the department
- 2+ years of retail supervisory or management experience
- Excellent knowledge of Italian cheeses and salumi
- Excellent communication, time management, and relationship-building skills
- Financial analysis skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 1+ year of food production experience highly preferred
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
