Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Eataly Sherway Gardens. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating the service station, and communicating with front and back of house personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and present them with the menu
- Inform guests of specials, menu changes, and answer questions regarding food, beverages, and allergies
- Receive food and beverage orders from guests and relay to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
- Communicate with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff, and bartenders to coordinate stations
- Present, open, and pour wine and beer when serving guests
- Assist table support team with stocking work stations, removing, and resetting used dishes/silverware
- Assist with cash register at counter-service restaurants
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
Additional Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
