Barista - Eataly Sherway Gardens

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Eataly Sherway Gardens. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly's recipes and guests' special requests.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks at multiple counters
- Provide guests with exceptional service and product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description
- Set up stations and replenish displays neatly, including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
- Ensure all items are dated and follow First in First Out (FIFO) standards
- Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for guests according to their specifications
- Operate the Point of Sales (POS) system, ensuring accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
- Clean and sanitize work areas in accordance with supervising health agency of the area
- Work across all QSR counters, serving pastry, gelato, pizza, and other Italian delicacies
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation, and product
- Outstanding communication and guest service skills
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
- 1+ year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
- High school diploma preferred
