We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Laurel's Lake Residence Inc. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with our facility's policies and procedures.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Meal Service: Serve meals and snacks to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Documentation: Accurately document resident care and services provided in accordance with our facility's policies and procedures.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Basic security clearance, ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination, and manual dexterity.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a variable schedule. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You must be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
