Continuing Care Assistant Education Specialist

Eastern College is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant Instructor to deliver high-quality education to our students. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching the Continuing Care Assistant Progressive Education program curriculum, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies and techniques to meet the individual learning styles of our students. You will also be responsible for grading class tests, assignments, and exams, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends to enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality education to students in a safe and civil learning environment
- Teach assigned courses in accordance with course competencies
- Take daily attendance and grade class tests, assignments, and exams
- Stay current with industry trends to enhance the learning experience
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience working with Continuing Care Assistants
- Previous teaching experience is considered an asset
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
