Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac clinic environment.

About the Role

This is a front-line nursing position that requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Recent experience (3-5 years) in adult cardiac critical care
  • ACLS certification (an asset)
