Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Alberta Health Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care. About the Role
This key position involves providing safe, high-quality patient care, while reflecting the shared values of AHS. As an integral member of the interprofessional team, you'll be responsible for:
  • Providing compassionate, patient-focused care that prioritizes their needs and well-being
  • Working effectively within a fast-paced environment, managing competing demands and priorities
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to build effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. You'll also have excellent computer skills, with proficiency in systems like Connect Care, Netcare, and PYXIS.

Requirements
To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you'll need to meet the following criteria:
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • At least 2 years of experience working as an LPN in an Emergency Department
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and familiar with relevant healthcare software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team
  • Physical capability to perform all aspects of the role

Salary Estimate
We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $85,000-$110,000 per year, based on location and experience. Your compensation package will also include benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
