Senior Health Data Analyst for Primary Care Strategy

This is a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Health Data Analyst to join our team in Primary Health Care Strategy and Data Advancement at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of data quality, analysis, and reporting initiatives related to primary health care information projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess data quality, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of CIHI's data holdings, including PHC EMR data, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Design and implement data visualization tools to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop project plans, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Represent the organization internally and externally, participating in committees, presentations, and conferences as required.
- An undergraduate degree in epidemiology, statistics, health information sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in health care research, policy, or service settings, with a focus on quantitative analysis.
- Experience working with statistical software, particularly Python, and familiarity with SAS or R is an asset.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write engaging reports and presentations for various audiences.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including developing and maintaining project Gantts, and knowledge of Microsoft Project is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required, with bilingualism in both official languages being an asset.
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
