About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Family Physician to join our interprofessional team at Somerset West Community Health Centre. As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to our clients during acute and chronic illness. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that cater to the unique needs of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families within our community.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that promote health and well-being.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.
- Prioritize cultural safety and adapt your practice to meet the diverse needs of our multicultural community.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in primary care and community health.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our team through mentoring, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and licensure as a Family Physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- At least 3 years of experience in primary care, preferably in a community health setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Community Health Centre model of health and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and teams.
- Ability to provide service in multiple languages, including English and French.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and proficiency in using technology to support clinical practice.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $176,718 - $204,675 per annum, plus an on-call stipend.
