President of Travel Nunavut

As the President of Travel Nunavut, you will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its ambitious vision of a $1 billion industry supporting 5,000 jobs by 2030. This will involve working closely with industry stakeholders, governments, and other organizations to implement the organization's strategic plan and advocacy agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the staff team and contractors to achieve the organization's goals and objectives
- Work closely with the Executive Director to manage the day-to-day activities of the organization
- Secure funding and build relationships with funding agencies to support the organization's growth
- Expand the organization's regional reach and ability to serve members and industry partners in the territory's 25 communities
- Attend key community and industry events to represent the organization and build relationships with stakeholders
We are looking for a strong leader with exceptional leadership and communication skills, who is able to collaborate effectively with members, leaders in governments, industry and community organizations, and other stakeholders. Fluency in Inuktitut is ideal. You should have a university degree in business administration, tourism management, international development, or a related field, and be a leader and adventurer who is ready to make a difference in Northern Canada.
