About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the President of Travel Nunavut, a leading organization in the tourism industry. As President, you will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its vision of a $1 billion industry supporting 5,000 jobs by 2030.

You will work closely with industry stakeholders, governments, and community organizations to implement Travel Nunavut's Strategic Plan and advocacy agenda. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the staff team and contractors to achieve the organization's goals
  • Securing funding and working with funding agencies to build the organization's capacity
  • Expanding the organization's regional reach and ability to serve members and industry partners
  • Representing the organization at key community and industry events
  • Working with the Board of Directors to build and support an active Board that represents the industry sectors and people of Nunavut

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and experience in the tourism industry. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Fluency in Inuktitut is an asset.
