Chief Executive Officer

As the President of Travel Nunavut, you will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its vision of a $1 billion industry supporting 5,000 jobs by 2030. You will work closely with industry stakeholders, governments, and community organizations to implement the organization's strategic plan and advocacy agenda. Your role will involve building up the resources needed to support the mandate and activities of the industry organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation of activities by the staff team and contractors to serve members and partners and grow and strengthen the travel industry in Nunavut.
• Work with the Executive Director to manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization, focusing on key performance metrics.
• Secure funding and work with funding agencies to build the organization to more than double in size under your leadership.
• Expand the organization's regional reach and ability to serve members and industry partners in the territory's 25 communities and lands, waters, and skies.
About You:
You are a leader who is passionate about growing and strengthening the travel industry in Nunavut. You have strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with members, leaders in governments, industry, and community organizations, and other stakeholders. Fluency in Inuktitut is ideal. You are not afraid of challenges and are ready to apply your exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills and experience to Northern Canada and make a difference.
