About the Role:

As the President of Travel Nunavut, you will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its vision of a $1 billion industry supporting 5,000 jobs by 2030. You will work closely with industry stakeholders, governments, and other organizations to implement the organization's strategic plan and advocacy agenda. Your role will involve building up the resources needed to support the mandate and activities of the industry organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As the President, you will be the overall leader of the staff team and contractors. You will work closely with the Executive Director to manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization, focusing on key performance metrics. You will also be responsible for securing funding and working with funding agencies to build the organization to more than double in size under your leadership. Additionally, you will expand the organization's regional reach and ability to serve members and industry partners in the territory's 25 communities and lands, waters, and skies.

About You:

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about growing the travel industry in Nunavut. You should have strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with members, leaders in governments, industry, and community organizations, and other stakeholders. Fluency in Inuktitut is ideal, but not required. You should be a strategic thinker with a vision for the future of the travel industry in Nunavut. You should also be comfortable with change and have the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
