Yard Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Yard Operations Coordinator at Cooper Equipment Rentals. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Yard Organization: Organize and maintain a clean and safe working environment in the yard, including equipment and storage areas.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading equipment from trucks and trailers.
- Damage Reporting: Inspect equipment for damage upon return and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and provide support as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Operational Experience: Experience operating a forklift is an asset, and a forklift license would be beneficial but is not required.
- Physical Demands: Be comfortable working outdoors and able to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with operating heavy construction equipment, such as earthmoving equipment and aerial equipment, is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a customer-service oriented approach.
