Inventory Management Coordinator

Salary Range: $45,000 to $50,000 plus Profit Sharing Bonus
Daily Responsibilities:
As the Inventory Management Coordinator, your primary duties will include counting, verifying, receiving, and organizing incoming vendor products. You will oversee the management, identification, updating, and correction of all product bin locations to ensure a streamlined and efficient picking process for customer orders. A keen attention to detail is essential to guarantee exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Your additional responsibilities will encompass:
- Adhering to all Health and Safety regulations while executing job functions
- Loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and utilizing other material handling equipment
- Receiving tasks include:
- Upon unloading vendor shipments or customer returns, obtaining the packing slip and verifying the received products. Document any discrepancies or damaged items
- Printing and confirming the computer receiving documents and accurately entering received products into the system
- Identifying special orders and damaged products and storing them in the appropriate locations
- Documenting all shipping discrepancies on the freight carrier's Bill of Lading, initiating freight claims, and forwarding paperwork to the relevant team member
- Managing and tracking all damaged inventory, coordinating repairs, and reintegrating it back into regular inventory for sale
- Providing support as needed for the picking, packing, and shipping of products to customers
- Notifying the Manager of any inventory discrepancies and damaged or defective products that could affect customer service levels
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris
- Alerting the Manager to any safety concerns within the warehouse
- Assisting teammates in servicing customers at the counter
- Completing other tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager
The ideal candidate will possess the right fit and experience, with the potential to advance into a Warehouse Lead role, overseeing shipping, receiving, yard, and inventory control operations while managing all team members and activities in the warehouse and yard.
Qualifications:Desired Skills and Experience:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; a college and/or university degree is an asset
- 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting with knowledge of shipping and receiving, preferably in a team management role
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to exceeding expectations for customers and team members
- Outgoing, energetic, and positive demeanor, capable of quickly integrating into a small team culture
- Strong work ethic with the ability to think critically and make independent decisions
- Ability to develop comprehensive product knowledge; familiarity with plumbing products is an asset
- Capacity to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly using proper techniques
- Willingness to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Aptitude for learning and operating the relevant software systems used for order processing
- Intermediate proficiency in computers and the MS Office 365 suite
- Confidence with technology and adaptability to leverage new tools for efficiency and productivity
- Intermediate math skills
