Job Title: Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Roadhouse Restaurant Ltd. as a key member of our kitchen staff.

Job Summary:

The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
