About the Role:
Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Infection Prevention and Control team as a Hand Hygiene Audit Student. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting patient safety and quality improvement by observing and providing feedback on hand hygiene practices among healthcare workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hand hygiene audit observations, including electronic data collection, to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide education and feedback to staff on hand hygiene practices, promoting a culture of excellence and patient safety.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of education strategies to enhance hand hygiene compliance.
- Collaborate with Infection Control Practitioners to provide hand hygiene feedback and support.
- Identify staff learning needs and assess barriers to effective hand hygiene practice.
- Assist in hand hygiene promotional activities and other Infection Prevention and Control initiatives or projects.
