About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Ardene. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all store operations, including merchandising, customer service, and team training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the District Supervisor to develop and implement strategies to achieve the store's sales and profit budgets.
  2. Team Development: Train store team members on company standards and programs in accordance with the employee manual.
  3. Performance Management: Take action with the support of the District Supervisor on low performance and resolve conflicts.
  4. Talent Management: Recruit and retrain talent by motivating the team and recognizing good performance.
  5. Administrative Duties: Conduct administrative and operational duties as required.
  6. Scheduling: Prepare and manage employee weekly schedules.
  7. Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and resolve them in a timely manner.
  8. Compliance: Comply with all head office requests regarding store operations.
  9. Inventory Management: Process and manage all incoming merchandising shipments.
  10. Returns: Handle all returns to head office as required.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years retail management experience.
  2. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Visual Merchandising: Experience and/or education in visual merchandising.
  4. Business Acumen: Solid business acumen.
  5. People Development: Proven people development skills and ability to assess talent.
  6. Time Management: Strong time management and priority-setting skills.
  7. Stress Management: Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Leadership: Ability to lead a team in a positive and inclusive manner.
Physical Requirements
  1. Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and climb a ladder.
  2. Lifting: Move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store (weighing up to 30 pounds).
