This Senior Business Development Manager role focuses on providing exceptional service to small business owners by managing their portfolios, building relationships with local businesses, and offering comprehensive advice to help them succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and negotiated goals.
  • Create a strong presence within the local business community by developing relationships with Centres of Influence.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to build strong relationships and provide comprehensive advice, enabling them to build successful businesses.
  • Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including features and benefits of small business products and services.
  • Excellent business development techniques and a good understanding of financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation for small business products.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills, with proficiency in collaborating with others.
  • An education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
