Strategic Business Development Manager

Gazifère, the exclusive distributor of natural gas in the Outaouais region and a dynamic and fast-growing company in a sector in transition, is seeking a Strategic Manager to play a key role in the growth of business activities not related to energy distribution throughout the province of Quebec.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to the organization's strategic thinking and identify development opportunities in a context of energy transition.
- Identify business opportunities related to energy management, energy efficiency, space heating and cooling, and water heating.
- Develop and maintain a network of companies in the province capable of supporting Gazifère in the expansion of its commercial activities.
- Ensure sales results are achieved for commercial activities in the provinces.
- Represent the company at commercial and social events in the Greater Montreal area and other major administrative regions in Quebec.
- University degree required in Business Administration, or equivalent, and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- One or more of the following certifications will be considered an important asset: natural gas, plumbing, general contracting and/or refrigeration.
- Experience in business development for products and services related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing.
- Well-established network of contacts in the heating/ventilation sector in Quebec.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and more particularly of the natural gas and renewable energy industry, the regulatory and legislative regime in Quebec and Canada.
- Aquired ability to negotiate with contractors in the context of business partnerships and service providers.
- Ability to work independently within tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and summarizing skills.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) in French, ability to influence and convince.
- Good team spirit.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
The person in this position must be fluent in French. Since this person will have to interact on occasion with colleagues who do not speak French, it is expected that this person will have a good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
Working Conditions:- Standard office environment.
- Frequent car trips between Québec's major administrative regions.
