The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Interior Superintendent to lead the interior finishing of a 41-story residential tower in the Metrotown, Burnaby area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the construction site, supervising site team members, and ensuring the timely completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and develop site team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions, and change notices to ensure scopes, terms, and conditions are properly executed.
- Identify and advise on design deficiencies, schedule interruptions, or difficulties, and work collaboratively with the Project Manager to resolve issues.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance regarding safety and scope of work.
- Ensure sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Maintain daily paperwork, including field reports, safety inspections, schedule updates, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and contractors adhere to the company's safety policies.
- Perform daily site reviews to ensure work is completed per drawings and specifications.
- Assist with grievance issues and general site labor issues.
- At least four years of experience as an interior superintendent with a general contractor.
- Red seal carpenter certification is an asset.
- Strong ability to lead site crews of various sizes.
- Effective communication and established relationships with trades in the area.
- An extensive history of working on a site until project completion.
- Competitive salary range: $130,000 to $170,000, depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus program.
