About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Interior Superintendent to join our team on a 41-story residential tower project in the Metrotown, Burnaby area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the construction site, with a focus on interior finishing of each residential suite.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Management: Supervise and develop site team members, administer contracts and subcontracts, and ensure scopes, terms, and conditions are properly executed.
- Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance, ensure sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule, and quality objectives, and perform daily site reviews to ensure work is per drawings and specifications.
- Communication: Collaborate with Project Manager to resolve issues, communicate effectively with all departments, and provide reports as requested.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and contractors adhere to company safety policies and maintain daily paperwork, including field reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates.
- At least four (4) years of experience as an Interior Superintendent with a general contractor.
- Red seal carpenter or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Strong ability to lead site crews of various sizes, communicate effectively with trades, and establish relationships with suppliers.
- An extensive history of working on a site until project completion.
