Sessional Instructional Assistant

Job Summary:
This is a part-time Sessional Instructional Assistant position available at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instructional support to students in the specialist program in actuarial science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver case study approach to current issues in life insurance, pension consulting, and casualty actuarial practice
- Focus on communication and presentation skills
- Grading term tests, invigilating term tests and final exams, grading homework and/or quizzes, setting tutorial quizzes
- Completion of any course work and marking not finished by April 30, 2025
Requirements:
- Two years industry experience working in the Actuarial field, ACAS or ASA
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work on Mondays and Wednesdays, with some flexibility to accommodate course schedules.
Salary:
$52.26 per hour plus vacation pay
