About the Role

Crown Floors Decor is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
  • Estimate Reports: Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads, and create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.
  • Project Management: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects, project cash flow and financing requirements, and monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
  • Liaison: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
