Job Summary

Crown Floors Decor is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services
  3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements and timelines
  4. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
  5. Prepare and submit estimates, quotes, and bids to clients in a timely and professional manner
  6. Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure they are within budget and identify areas for cost savings
  7. Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems
