The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Velvet Glove Restaurant and Lounge In Room Dining and Refreshment Center. This role is crucial in ensuring the overall success of all areas, including the performance of all colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the structured day-to-day operation of the Restaurant Lounge In Room Dining and Refreshment Centre in conjunction with the F & B Outlets Manager, maintaining a visible presence to support the service team and build guest loyalty/recognition.
  • Continuously seek out creative ways to improve service and overall F&B revenues and profitability.
  • Ensure the ongoing professional development, growth, and satisfaction of all team members.
  • Direct and assist in the development and implementation of innovative promotional and sales events.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen stewarding, banquets, and hotel leaders to promote teamwork as a strong component of the daily service culture.
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance of minimum standards as outlined in the Fairmont Food and Beverage Core Standards.
  • Maintain a first-class and positive visual impact, including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, decor, and service flows.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Degree in F&B or Hotel Management.
  • Exceptional Wine and Beer knowledge.
  • Computer skills (Excel, MS Office software, and Micros).
  • Team player with versatility, flexibility, and stress management skills.
  • Passion for guest service and excellent customer service skills.
  • Smart Server responsible liquor service certification required.

Work Arrangement:

Full-time employment.
