Inuvik Gas Ltd. is committed to delivering reliable gas services in our community. We are seeking an experienced Gas Services Technician to ensure the integrity of our gas distribution system.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our gas infrastructure, adhering to relevant codes and regulations. Key duties include:

  • Accurate meter readings and emergency response
  • Leak protection testing and equipment maintenance
  • Proper installation of underground gas mains
  • Fostering good customer relations

This role involves supporting production activities, maintaining records, and working in various conditions, including adverse weather and remote locations.

Requirements

Prior experience in gas distribution is an asset, particularly in equipment handling and record-keeping. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 25 kg
  • Operate a snow machine and helicopter if needed
  • Perform 'on-call' duties and demonstrate safe vehicle operation

Techincal skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to complete Gas Technician Training Modules and a Gas Production Operator Course.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range estimated to be around $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
