Gas Technician

Inuvik Gas Ltd is a leading provider of gas services in the region, committed to delivering reliable and efficient solutions to our customers.

We are seeking an experienced Gas Services Technician to join our team. This role will involve the inspection, repair, and maintenance of the gas distribution system, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections of the gas distribution system to identify any potential issues or hazards.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on the gas distribution system as required.
• Ensure accurate meter readings and perform leak protection testing.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working order.
• Install underground gas mains and foster good customer relations.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Prior experience in gas distribution, particularly in equipment handling and record-keeping.
• The ability to work outdoors in various conditions, including adverse weather and remote locations.
• The physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and operate a snow machine and helicopter if needed.
• Demonstrated safe vehicle operation and ability to work on-call duties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to complete Gas Technician Training Modules and a Gas Production Operator Course.
