Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. As a key member of our Mechanical Construction team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate labour, subcontractors, and materials to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable local and provincial labour codes.
  • Liaise with project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and tradespersons to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Monitor and increase labour productivity, and review work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficiencies.
  • Responsible for cost forecasting and financial statement analysis.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years' experience in the construction industry, with a degree or diploma in construction management or engineering, and/or trade qualification or equivalent field experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of contract management, construction scheduling, planning, and execution, blueprint reading, and financial statements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to lead and manage union staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
