Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the design and implementation of mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a design team through the day-to-day activities required for implementing conceptual design into contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop design concepts during schematic design and design development phases of projects.
  • Lead a design team through the contract administration phase, including interface with contractors and architectural teams, review of shop drawings, site reviews, and creation of CCNs.
  • Conduct field reviews of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, medical gas systems, and fire protection systems for various building facilities.
Requirements:
  • At least three years' experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or industrial buildings.
  • University or college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Registered with provincial licensing bodies PEO and OACETT is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective.
  • Established strong leadership, client service, and project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, along with the ability to problem-solve and make analytical, timely, and well-thought-out decisions.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience using AutoDesk Revit.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
