Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the design team in implementing conceptual design into contract documents. Key responsibilities include working with the supervisor to develop the design concept during the schematic design and design development phases, and leading the team through the day-to-day activities required for implementing design into contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a design team in implementing conceptual design into contract documents.

Work with the supervisor to develop the design concept during schematic design and design development phases.

Interface with contractors and architectural teams.

Review shop drawings, site reviews, RFI's, and CCN's.

Conduct field reviews of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, medical gas systems, and fire protection systems.

Requirements:

  • At least three years' experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or industrial buildings.
  • University or college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Registered with provincial licensing bodies PEO and OACETT is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective.
  • Established strong leadership, client service, and project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to problem solve and make analytical, timely, and well-thought-out decisions.
  • Advanced working knowledge of provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience using AutoDesk Revit.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
